| These filters are used for pulse shaping and bandwidth limiting. They
are very useful in the removal of unwanted distortions caused by noise,
ringing, preshoot and overshoot. Due to their fine impulse response, they
are often used in conjunction with delay lines that must have minimum
distortion in the delayed output. |
