Allen Avionics, Inc. was established in 1960 as a subsidiary of the AK Allen family of companies including Allenair. Allen Avionics manufactures a broad line of standard and passive electronic products including filters, delay lines, equalizers, isolation transformers, video hum and noise eliminators and microwave components.

In 2017, Alkon Corp. purchased the AK Allen family of companies including Allen Avionics, Inc. Under the new ownership, Allen Avionics will continue to provide their customers with the products, quality and service they have come to expect.   Avionics will operate as a division of Star Hydraulics (an Alkon company) in River Grove, Illinois. Star was founded in 1947 and became part of the Alkon family in 2012. Since that time, Star has added ISO9001, Lean Business practices, invested in new equipment, added new products and has been a great addition to the Alkon family. 

Allen Avionics looks forward to continuing to serve the needs of our customers. Allen Avionics became ISO9001 certified in 2018 through NSF.  In addition, we have built up a new production team in River Grove to continue to make the products that have been sold by Allen Avionics previously.
